Lenten Reading Suggestions

Each year, Ash Wednesday begins the Church's journey into the desert with the Bridegroom, accompanying and emulating her Lord in this season of penance and prayer.  These 40 days of preparation for the great events of Holy Week and the Easter Triduum are a gift to the faithful, a time of cleansing, renewal, and plentiful opportunities to seek a closer union with God.  Of course, the reading of Holy Scripture should be given pride of place, but after that, we hope you may find the titles below helpful suggestions for your spiritual reading.

New Year’s Reading List

The start of the new year is traditionally a time to do some self-examination and resolve to make positive changes.  And what could be more important than growing and progressing in your spiritual life?  Do you want to spend more time in prayer, deepen your prayer life, overcome a sinful habit, grow in virtue and charity?  Ever resolved to pray the rosary more, or read the bible daily, but need a little encouragement?  Would you like guidance on managing your time, money, or family life in a way more consistent with your faith?  These are just a few of the topics covered in the titles below.  While not exhaustive, this list is a great starting point for exploring ways to bring God more into your life, and your life more into God.
